Mikaela Minoggi (she/her)
Mikaela is a dedicated, licensed massage therapist and Santa Cruz County native with a passion for helping people improve their mind-body connection, treat chronic pain, and improve daily physical performance. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she completed her B.S. degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science with a continuous fascination for human anatomy and overall wellness. Receiving massage therapy has always been a helpful tool for improving her own understanding of the body and healing process, consequently becoming a major factor in choosing this career path.
Since graduating from the San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork, Mikaela has utilized a combination of relaxing Swedish along with therapeutic sports massage techniques for a holistic and individualized approach to each client. Within her sessions, her techniques include compression and range of motion assessments, Swedish & deep tissue, myofascial and trigger point release, pin and stretch, passive ROM, PNF, traction, and mobilization. Whether you are seeking preventative care, deep and targeted work, improving athletic performance, chronic pain treatments, or just overall relaxation, Mikaela will ensure those needs are met in each session.
During her time away from work, you will likely find Mikaela enjoying her time outside (preferably sunny out), going for walks, running, surfing, and biking. As a huge fan of rest and recovery, she will also be often found in the kitchen cooking, listening to music, stretching, and dancing.
Alex Weber
Alex’s journey into bodywork was profoundly influenced by a major pelvic reconstructive surgery she underwent at twenty-one, which ignited her passion for aiding others in their healing journeys. Over recent years, she has immersed herself in both modern and traditional techniques, studying in classrooms and temples across Southeast Asia. Her expertise includes Swedish, deep tissue massage, structural integration, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, craniosacral therapy, Thai massage, and energy work.
In her practice, Alex blends these modalities to craft personalized treatments that ensure lasting results. Drawing from her experiences as an athlete, surfer, and backpacker, she has a keen understanding of identifying and effectively addressing trigger points during your body massage.
Given her personal history with injuries and surgeries, Alex’s primary passion as a massage therapist in Santa Cruz lies in recovery, particularly in holistic scar tissue and adhesion release. She offers therapeutic techniques such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Microcurrent Point Stimulation Therapy (MPS), which integrate principles from acupuncture and modern neurological science. This comprehensive approach aids in healing both the body and mind.
